I-cord in knitting is usually used to make long rope or tube-tube motifs for knitting decoration/decoration. It’s not too difficult to make this I-cord. So, notice and follow the steps of making simple crochet icord pattern below!
The Tools Needed

The Abbreviation
DPN (s)
The abbreviation of it is exactly Double Pointed Needle (s). in another word, it is called as a two-pointed needle.
CO
Its abbreviation is Cast On. It is also known as an initial stitch.
K
It is Knit or known as prick up.
BO
The abbreviation is Bind Off. Or you can say it as end puncture.
How The Steps
- Take one DPN needle, make CO according to the amount of CO written on the pattern (usually 3-4 sts)
- K first row, but don’t turn knit
- Slide STS to the other end of the needle (still on the same needle)
- Take the 2nd DPN needle, Knit (the position of the thread roll is at the last STS)
Repeat steps 2-4 above to the desired I-cord length.
Then BO, or continue knitting according to the pattern.
NOTE:
If you don’t have DPNs, you can use ordinary one-pointed knitting needles. How, after Knit one line, remove the sts from the needle, return the position of STs, then insert it again into the needle in an upside down position (STS that connects to the thread reel is inside). Knit again, back again, etc.
